Hullo, telly-phone. I would like to find my mum.

[Oh, such an adorable little child, with such an adorable little british accent.]

My name is Kusanagi Kimiko and I live at the Kusanagi genomics building, in Honduras. If you kidnapped me, then it's okay.

I'm not mad.

My daddy will save me.

[Spanish is lost on her, but she knows the word in English, courtesy of Batou and his language pack.]

Yes. "Cyborg."

[She edges forward a little, because her sweet tooth is slightly stronger than her fear of fire.

[Kimiko obligingly steps forward to give her the marshmallow-cookie sandwich.]

Don't be sad. We can be friends, and team up to find Mr. Batou, if you want.

[She hesitates, then tacks on the only species of bribery she knows how to use.]

I don't have any friends, aside from Hedwig and Barry. I live in a laboratory, so there are no other children. You would be the first friend.

It's okay. Mr. Batou will come if I ask him to.

[That's as certain as the sunrise, and the way Motoko says it reflects the fact.]

I...don't have any friends either. I haven't seen the paralyzed boy in a long time.

[She accepts the cookie bashfully. The taste is...well, she can't taste it much. But the sweetness is there.]

[Half the fun of marshmallow sandwiches is in the texture, anyways.]

...Do you want to be friends anyway? I could try to call Mr. Zeke back.

[She seems doubtful about this. Zeke isn't BAD, but he's not good either, and he might not come, besides.]

I would like to meet Mr. Batou.
